Governor Walker presented the 2011 Governor's Tourism Awards at the Wisconsin Governor's Conference on Tourism.  The recipients represent the best Wisconsin's tourism industry has to offer in creativity, service, stewardship, leadership and overall passion for this industry we all love. 

The 2011 Governor’s Tourism Awards Winners are as follows:

Rising Star Award: Jean Galasinki, President of the Trempealeau County Tourism Council, President of the Trempealeau Chamber of Commerce, Commissioner to the Mississippi River Parkway Commission.

Stewardship Excellence Award: Bayfield, Wisconsin Tourism

Service Excellence Award: Mike Goodrich, General Manager of Potawatomi Bingo Casino

Tourism Legacy Award: Ed Lump, President & CEO of the Wisconsin Restaurant Association and President of the Tourism Federation of Wisconsin

Tourism Legacy Award: Dick Klopcic, Owner of The Fireside Theatre
